DARVO Frame & A Teaser

I’ll be using the DARVO framework to structure my next few posts about the early grooming for abuse I experienced in my brief (yet too long) relationship with Michelle Culhane –and– how I missed it.

DARVO: Deny. Attack. Reversal of Victim-Offender. You can read up on it here from an ethical leader in the anti-domestic violence advocacy and action space: https://breakthesilencedv.org/?p=19530

Any of you who have attempted to set boundaries or break up with Michelle Culhane who are reading this, already know what DARVO looks like and the impact it has on our functioning and lives as we navigate a “relationship” with her, saw what we were trapped in, and then attempted to leave her.

Most of the content of SlanderConfetti the next two posts will revolve around how she employed this approach in a much more flagrant way after I escaped her relationship trap by breaking things off on New Year’s Eve morning, after yet another rage-full verbal attack, that would be the last one I’d tolerate. And how, like with so many others who leave her after a few weeks or months, or longer, I received an onslaught of subsequent slander and libel (verbal and social abuse directed peripherally AKA smear campaigns) as my new form of punishments.

This character assassination (aimed at both my professional and social standing) has until recently been her primary retaliatory and self-defense strategy to excuse her ongoing criminal behaviors (if she even acknowledges them at all) that land her in trouble with the law by way of going to jail 3 times since January 2026, and now being appropriately scrutinized for “someone” setting fire to my vehicle in late July, while her GPS ankle monitor had her home at the time, Officer.

Fun public record fact that seems relevant to the fire in my driveway: There’s a police report with VPD (2026-004652) filed against her for describing in detail to her guests at a Superbowl party she hosted 1) where I lived, 2) drew an accompanying map of my property, 3) where the best ways to sneak up and avoid detection of my security system she was very familiar with were located, and 4) that someone “should set [my] shed on fire or something.”

So interesting that this is the exact route the arsonist employed to arrive at and escape from the crime scene, while I slept that night.

This VPD report also shows that Michelle lied to the police saying she wasn’t drunk at her party because (and I cannot roll my eyes hard enough at this one) she “doesn’t drink alcohol” and “recently had gastric bypass surgery” so she can’t. This one is good at image management, as long as she keeps her stories straight, which she cannot. While we dated and she drank so heavily with such awful consequences that I eventually told her I wouldn’t drink around her at all–She used the fact that she had bypass surgery as the REASON she could supposedly drink very heavily without being affected ‘almost at all.’ That’s a fun D for the Denial example of DARVO.

Pretty sure her DUI was after the surgery that either left her a teetotaler or a high-tolerance binge drinker, depending on which story serves her best in the moment…which, by the way, sources say that she attempted to blame that DUI on someone who broke things off with her and she said something like “(persons name) poisoned me” and that’s why she got the DUI. (Quotes from written statements in Source Files.) She’s got a thing about being poisoned: She accused me of the same thing in one of her MANY recycled stories she gave to the police about abuse that never happened. But, more on those details in the A & the RVO sections coming soon.

RETURN HOME

Please only ‘Like’ after caution and with intention. The person we’re dealing with here (per the reports of so many women, that I’ve stopped posting tallies of) has a long history of vindictive retaliation at any perceived slight (which includes perceived alliance with me).

For this reason, my process all along has been to NOT post any comment you all make on my posts. However, a ‘Like’ isn’t something I can undo for you. So, if you choose to do so, may it be for your own wise purposes. I continue to recommend to folx: Let’s see how the current restraining orderS and violations will be handled at this level of court before drawing unnecessary attention/fire from the defendant before it can be helpful to you.
